1. What we collect

When you register for pdfmy.email, we collect your email address and store a password hash. When you first use pdfmy.app, we automatically create an app-only delivery account for your installation without collecting an email address or password. For pdfmy.app we store an installation identifier, one-way digests of bootstrap and delegated access credentials, the recipients you configure, product-interaction timestamps needed to operate devices and tokens, delivery-job metadata, and App Store transaction identifiers and subscription status. Apple handles payment details; we do not receive your full payment-card information. When either service processes content on your behalf, we handle the content needed to create or deliver the PDF.

2. How we use your data

We use your data solely to provide pdfmy.email and pdfmy.app: converting supported content to PDF, synchronizing your chosen recipients, verifying feature access, and delivering documents at your request. We do not sell your data, and we do not use document or email content for purposes unrelated to conversion, delivery, security, or support.

3. pdfmy.app documents

Scanning, local PDF creation, local history, and native iOS sharing happen on your device. A document is uploaded to pdfmy.email only when you choose direct server delivery. The upload is sent with a job-specific credential and can only be delivered to a recipient saved on your app-only delivery account.

4. Data retention

A PDF uploaded by pdfmy.app for direct delivery is deleted after successful delivery, cancellation, account deletion, or when its delivery job expires; delivery jobs expire after 24 hours by default. PDFs generated from incoming email are normally removed from service storage after seven days and may be removed earlier when the storage limit is reached. Their basic delivery record remains while its mailbox exists and is deleted with that mailbox or its account.

5. Service providers and tracking

We use infrastructure and delivery providers to operate the service, including our hosting provider, Mailgun for email transport, Stripe for pdfmy.email web billing, and Apple for App Store billing. They process only the data required for those functions under their own service terms. We do not sell personal data, track you across other companies' apps or websites, or use advertising SDKs. We retain anonymous signup and deletion event counts without an IP address, device identifier, or account link.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete an app-only delivery account immediately in pdfmy.app Settings. This removes the account, its devices, saved recipients, delivery jobs, uploaded PDFs, and linked delivery records. You can delete a pdfmy.email web account at the account deletion page; this first cancels any active pdfmy.email web subscription, then removes the sign-in account, mailboxes, generated files, connected devices, saved recipients, delivery jobs, uploaded PDFs, and linked delivery records. An App Store subscription is managed by Apple and is not canceled automatically when either service account is deleted. We retain only an opaque Apple purchase reference, without your email address or account, when needed to process Apple billing notifications and support a later Restore Purchases request.
